But when it comes to thrift stores, I don't care what other people think. I see them as magical places; you never know what you'll find when you walk into one. You could go into one looking for a pair of shoes, and exit with them-- as well as a vinyl by your favorite artist. I recently went thrifting for a Halloween costume. As I scanned the aisles, I spotted the one thing I was missing: a bright blue blazer. When I tried it on, it fit perfectly. There's no way I would've been able to find this specific piece in such short notice for such an inexpensive price anywhere else! That's not even the point of it though; just the idea that, when you enter what you thought was just your corner-store Goodwill, it turns out to be a maze full of wonders, and the impossible suddenly becomes possible, is incredible to me.
